‘Tottering-by-Gently’ signs new licensing deal with Carousel Calendars
Carousel Calendars are excited to announce the recent signing of a new open licensing deal with the quintessentially British humour brand ‘Tottering-by-Gently’. Carousel Calendars will be producing a range of attractive calendars and diaries featuring the comical exploits of the Tottering Family, created by artist Annie Tempest.
Annie Tempest has had great success in her career as a cartoonist, beginning with a seven year run on a strip called ‘The Yuppies’ for the Daily Mail. In 1989, she was voted ‘Strip Cartoonist of the Year’ by her peers in the Cartoonists Club of Great Britain. ‘Tottering-by-Gently’ was created in 1993, when she joined Country Life magazine, and she continues to produce weekly cartoon strips for this title.
New Licensing Partnership
‘Tottering-by-Gently’ cartoons are based around the lives of Dicky and Daffy Tottering their family, and their dog. They live in the fading grandeur of their stately home, Tottering Hall, located in the fictional county of North Pimmshire. The cartoons have an enduring popularity, due to their focus on hugely relatable topics such as family, food, pets and everyday life, as well as highly appealing classic British humour.
The ‘Tottering-by-Gently’ 2017 dated collection from Carousel Calendars will include a range of products, including a large week-to-view family organiser for £10.99, a slim couples calendar for “His Lordship” and “Her Ladyship” for £5.99, a slim diary at £5.99 and an A5 diary at £9.99. The range will also include a slim calendar based around the Tottering dog, due to the popularity of this loveable pet, and guaranteed to appeal to dog lovers everywhere. There will also be a perpetual slim birthday calendar with themed illustrations.
Popular Humour Brand
The titles will all feature Annie Tempest’s delightful cartoons and are anticipated to be in high demand from fans of this well-established brand.
